First of all, our heartfelt apologies for the long silence on our social media platforms. Despite the difficulties due to the pandemic and thanks to your immeasurable trust, we are pleased to share these two important pieces of information:

𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐓𝐇 𝐆𝐔𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐀𝐋 𝐈𝐍 𝐒𝐑𝐈 𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐊𝐀

Due to the pandemic situation and mainly to what concerns arrival in Sri Lanka, restrictions are still present, especially for people who have not taken the vaccine or are partially vaccinated, who must undergo a 7 days quarantine. Our gathering must be open for everyone and we submitted 2 months ago to the Ministry of Health of Sri Lanka a “Safety and Health Protocol”, where we specifically requested the following: 

𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐕𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐞:

Vaccinated people can enter the Island without a PCR test at arrival, no quarantine, and no restrictions are applied.

𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐕𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐞:

People who have not taken the vaccine or are partially vaccinated must take a PCR test at arrival at the airport (Bandaranayake International Airport, Colombo). After a negative result, they must come directly to the festival area by organized buses while we arrange our guests to avoid the requirement of 7 days of quarantine. You will be able to undergo the 7 days “quarantine” inside the festival area, where no restrictions will be applied. 

We are expecting to receive a positive final decision on the upon in the coming weeks and we will be all set to take our event on the floors!

𝐋𝐎𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍: 𝐀𝐤𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐚, 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞, 𝐒𝐫𝐢 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐚

Landing Airport: Bandaranayake International Airport, Colombo

AKURALA is located in the Region of Galle, in the southern part of the Island. Galle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has endless things to explore including beaches, museums, nature parks, and many more local attractions to experience. It’s one & a half hours of travel by ground transport from Colombo (Capital City of Sri Lanka); Information on public transport by bus and train will be communicated soon. Bus tickets from the Airport to the Festival Venue will be available soon on our website.

In the coming days, we will publish the names of the Decoration and Architectural teams of each of our dancefloors and surrounding festival areas.
